Government bond prices continued to decline on persistent selling while call rates eased in view of ample liqudity in the system.
Among government securities, the 7.59 per cent government stock maturing in 2016 dropped to Rs 97.35/45 from the yesterday's closing level of Rs 97.98/98.02, while its yield rose to 8.00 per cent from 7.90 per cent.
The 8.07 cent government stock maturing in 2017 fell to Rs 100.50/60 from Rs 101.16/24 previously while yield firmed up to 7.99 per cent.
The 7.37 per cent government security maturing in 2014 moved down to Rs 96.60/65 from Rs 96.98/97.00 previously while its yield looked up to 8.00 per cent.
Call rates ended at 6.00 per cent as against 6.05 per cent yesterday aftermoving in a narrow range of 6.00 and 6.05 per cent.
The Reserve Bank, under the Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF), infused Rs 2,095 crore in five bids at the one day reverse repo auction at 6.00 per cent under LAF in the morning.
RBI also absorbed Rs 22,185 crore in 34 bids at the one day reverse repo auction at 6.00 per cent under second LAF.
