Union Minister for Information and Technology (IT), and Telecommunication Dayanidhi Maran in his address said that AMCHAM would be helpful for Indian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in exchanging technological know-how from foreign companies.

"AMCHAM has an important role to play in bringing SMEs from the US in India and facilitate them in establishing their units. Other models of collaboration will be useful, whereas the AMCHAM may facilitate centralized purchase of technical know-how from Singapore and US based companies and transfer the same in large number of SMEs in India," Maran said.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the two countries during the two-day Business Summit on Emerging India- Opportunities for SMEs.
