Singer Janet Jackson has sought legal protection from a man she claims has been stalking her since a long time.

The singer has reportedly asked authorities in Santa Monica, California, to protect her from New Yorker Robert Gardener.

Janet also revealed that last April when she hosted the comedy show 'Saturday Night Live', Garderner attempted to attend her dress rehersal and was intercepted by her security guards with a box cutter, a large pair of scissors and a multi-function knife"

She also claimed that Gardner sent her several faxes, making statements such as "DammitJanet I know it has been three years since we have been intimate but if you still love me it should not matter,"

"It is only a matter of time before he has the opportunity to harm me," the singer was quoted by ratethemusic, as saying. (ANI)
