Following reports that militants had threatened to launch attacks on the prestigious Indian Military Academy and recent incident involving the gunning down of three militants in New Delhi, police officials have said that security around the IMA has been strengthened.
The DIG Garhwal Range RS Meena said that additional police force has been deployed around the IMA building so as to keep a close vigil.
Police officials said that they were doing their best to throw a thick security cover around the IMA.
IMA officials said that all necessary security precautions are being maintained at the institute adding that security bunkers have been erected at vantage points around the IMA after intelligence revealed that terrorists were planning to attack IMA.
Incidentally, the three militants allegedly belonging to the Lashkar-e-Tayaba killed in the encounter, last night, which lasted for more than an hour, reportedly were planning to attack IMA. (ANI)
