Kokilaben essays pictorial biography of late Dhirubhai

His story has been told and retold many times over in books, newspapers and even movies, but the life of Dhirubhai Ambani will be narrated again in a pictorial biography by the person who knew him the best - his widow Kokilaben.
As she turns 75 tomorrow, the Ambani family matriarch will be releasing the pictorial tribute to her late husband, sources close to the family said.
The occasion would see the entire Ambani family, including the two brothers Mukesh and Anil, posing for a family portrait.
The picture book comes years after Hamish McDonald essayed 'The Polyester Prince' - the official biography of Dhirubhai.
Only last month, a Bollywood movie 'Guru' that was supposedly inspired by Dhirubhai hit theatres, but filmmaker Mani Ratnam declined to acknowledge so.
Kokilaben's pictorial essay on her late husband contains rare photographs from the family album, including his early years in Yemen, the sources said but did not elaborate.
