WWIL to seek shareholders' nod to raise up to 250 mn dlr

Subhash Chandra promoted Zee Group's demerged entity, Wire and Wireless India Ltd (WWIL) will seek shareholders' approval for raising up to Rs 1125 crore through offerings in international and domestic markets.
The board in its meeting yesterday considered various fund raising options and have decided to shore up funds either through equity or through debt of up to 250 million dollar (around Rs 1125 crore), WWIL informed the BSE.
The funds so raised would include the issue of American Depository Receipts (ADRs), Global Depository Receipts (GDRs), debentures, Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds (FCCBs), Qualified Institutional Placements (QIP) and convertible warrants, To establish a consensus on the proposal, the board has decided to convene a general meeting of the shareholders.
The cable business undertaking of Zee Telefilms and Siti Cable Network Ltd (SCNL), a wholly owned subsidiary of ZTL, has been transferred to WWIL.
