Micro Tech launches vehicle tracking system

In a bid to cash in the first movers advantage in fleet management and transport navigational segment, Micro Technologies today introduced a vehicle tracking system.
The new product is a Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) based digital wireless fleet management system that provides near real-time, two-way communication and vehicle position reporting for improved mobile worker productivity and operations administration, Micro Technologies informed the BSE.
The company, engaged in security and life support solutions said that with increased demand for vehicle tracking systems, largely on account of purchases by domestic logistics companies and fleet operators, the CDMA and telematics market in India is developing rapidly.
It estimates that CDMA technology would account for 41 per cent of the global market by 2010.
The newly launched vehicle tracking system would use integrated Global Positioning System (GPS) as well as data integration functions with business specific office applications.
