Symptoms of fibromyalgia: 1. Pain in muscles or certain areas like pain in shoulders, front and back of neck, lower back, hips, mid arm, and knees. 2. General feeling of tiredness and fatigue 3. Bladder spasms. Diagnosis: Fibromyalgia is diagnosed by the presence of pain at the tender points. So far, no laboratory test has been established to make a diagnosis. Most doctors are unable to determine if a patient has the condition or not so a rheumatologist is recommended. Treatment: 1. Anti-inflammatory drugs are given to reduce muscle pain. 2. Medications to decrease pain, improve sleep and relax muscles • 3. Mild exercises. 4. Proper diet – eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.
